EVENT RECORDER

Event Recorder for GM Locomotives (ERGM) is tailored specially for WDG-4 / WDP-4 type locomotives received by Indian Railways from General Motors. This system records the data related to Speed, Date, Time and various other events / parameters.

Technical Specifications

Data input A stream of data incoming from EM2000 control system of EMD locomotive over RS 485 communication bus.
Data transfer protocol Handshake method to ensure integrity of data over communication bus.
Data recording In portable memory module @ 1 sec interval for last 10 hours recording and @ 20 secs interval for last 90 days recording.
Data extraction Through standard RS232C/USB interface and customized data extractor unit for portable memory module using customized Windows-based Data Extraction and Analysis Software.
Status indication Visual LED indications for status of data recorder.
Operating power supply 50-140 VDC.
